The DPTO would like to extend a heartfelt 'Welcome' to all students, parents, teachers at the Discovery School. We hope that everyone had a relaxing and enjoyable summer with friends and family. Now that school is back in session, the DPTO will be organizing several activities to ensure that students have another exciting school year. Some activities include the United Nations Day, wherein students and parents celebrate and learn about the different countries represented at the school. Last year, we had an African Fashion Show and a traditional Honduran dance group perform (See our video:http://youtu.be/5ClAR4h0roI ) . We also organize annual events, such as Movie Night, Family Night, Song Fest and much more. The DPTO raises money to fund school projects like the Nurse's office. This year, we are planning a beautification and recycling program.
In order to plan fun activities for the students, we need parent participation and support. Please visit our blog, the teachers blogs, the school bulletin board, and letters and emails that we send to parents for more information about upcoming DPTO meetings and events. Thank you.
